Information:
Interns are accepted for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. This is not a paid position. All internships require a minimum of 10-15 hours per week covering a period of 10-16 weeks, depending on the schools quarter or semester length. Interns are expected to dress appropriately for the business world while interning at Madison's CW.
Interested students must be registered at a University, College, Community College or Vocational-Technical Institute. To be considered, intern applicants should have junior or senior status, or be in the last year of a Community College or Vocational-Technical program. Students must be sponsored and receive academic credit. (1 credit hour)
Students will augment their classroom experience through participation in various business and news projects. Madison's CW will provide one-on-one training and extensive supervision. This internship is solely a learning experience and is no guarantee of future employment at WBUW.

*****Sales Promotion and Marketing ******
This Internship will be developing client proposals, creating marketing presentations, assisting with new business development, television promotions, marketing research, and helping with event management.
Experience with some web design or graphic arts is a plus.
Qualifications:
Strong persuasion skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a self-motivating attitude.
Computer Skills needed:
MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Adobe Illustrator

****Creative Services: Promotion and News*****
This internship will give students a complete hands-on learning experience in the overall promotion of Madison's CW. Interns will assist producers in the creation and development of promotions including web updates, editing spots and setting up shoots. Additionally, interns will be asked to help with special station events, go on location shoots, and sharing general office duties.
Qualifications:
Must demonstrate good interpersonal and writing skills.
Excellent attention to detail
Computer Skills needed:
Video editing experience is required. Final Cut Pro experience is a plus.
*****Master Control ******
This internship provides the knowledge of the inner workings of the station. Everything from catching satellite feeds, timing show formats and other engineering duties will be covered. A great opportunity for someone wanting their foot in the door into the television industry.
